Cross cultural communication: perspectives in theory and practice
This collection of essays represents the past few years of my work in crosscultural communication. I first became interested in cross-cultural communication in a serious way in the spring of 1989 when, as an assistant to the president of the Society for Technical Communication (STC), I was at a board meeting and heard a call from Janice Hocker, the president, for the report of the Intecom delegate. When none appeared, she raised the issue of continuing STC’s membership in that organization, even though STC was a founding member.
